Our aim is to help people understand how the music industry works by exploring the business side of music. We do this through music business training courses, 1-2-1 music business mentoring advice and here online. This support is often low cost if not free!

Since 1999, we have been supporting unemployed aspiring musicians and songwriters through both mentoring and training initiatives across the South East, Yorkshire and Humberside and in the North East of England through the Jobcentre Plus New Deal for musicians programme. We also continue to run similar programmes in Hackney (London), across Leicestershire and in North Tyneside (North East).

We have practical experience too. We recently went back to our roots and rekindled Militia Beat Records, the forerunner label that put the "M", the "B" and the "R" into MBR Promotions! Militia Beat currently manages influential dance label Subversive Records Limited and is looking to release its own releases as well as offering label management services to other recording companies. We also put on occasional live music events and get involved in music management.
